The summer of 1943 at age 15, Angeline began working
at Dopey’s, a short-order diner popular with servicemen.
"Jo" on the menu was Dopey's manager, Josephine Lincoln Bohannon, Angeline's mother.
In the fall of 1943, Angie continued to work at Dopey's
as a 9th grader at Franklin Junior High School,
quitting at the end summer 1944.
