      Funeral services for Mrs. Richard Labberton, 26, who died Saturday in St. Elizabeth hospital after the birth of a daughter, will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Hopkins Mortuary at Toppenish. The infant, 6 pounds and 8 ounces, is living. Mrs. Labberton, the former Winifred Searle of Toppenish, was at one time a switchboard operator for the Republic Publishing company. Born in Sunnyside, she had lived most of her life at Toppenish. At the time of her death her home was at Wapato. Mrs. Labberton was graduated from the Toppenish high school in 1940 and entered service as a WAC in June 1943. She was discharged from service in October 1945, holding the rank of corporal. She served overseas in the Philippines, Australia and New Guinea for 18 months. She was a member of the American Legion and auxiliary at Wapato and a member of the Toppenish Methodist church. Survivors include her husband, Richard; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Searle of Toppenish; three brothers, Donald Searle of Sunnyside, Harold Searle of Toppenish and Cpl. George Searle with the army in Germany; four sisters, Mrs. Harriet Deyo of Toppenish, Mrs. Dorothy Hutton of Richland, Mrs. Helen Adams of Battleground and Mrs. Alice Suhadolnik of Richland.
