  • Notes 
    • Dick never married. He remained on the family farm helping his father and continued farming after his parents died. He had a stroke when he wa 32. In later years, he was in ill health.

      He helped in raising his sister Rena's children, Bill and Jim, and with Dick Labberton's daughter, Sally. For the last ten years of his life, Bill and Norma and family lived onthe family farm with him. Their chldren made up for his not having any of his own. He was their "beloved Uncle Dicky." They loved him as much as he loved them. [2]
